#newyrnewme
Dear Surrey Two,
In a recent affirmation letter I was told:
"You have so much to give, please do not withhold anything."
The idea of this blog came to me as I knelt before our Lord and I haven't been able to shake the thought of it since. I want to document what an entire year with you is like as your servant, sister, and friend. So here I am dedicating and directing this blog to you as I know that serving you as chapter head will directly affect my spiritual journey this year. It's a beautiful thing to be able to look back on how much a year has changed you and to realize how much you've grown. If every test is a testimony, then this is my testimony to you. Through this blog I'm looking forward to being able to reflect on and share both my struggles and joys with you all.
I'm not much of a storyteller, but I like to tell stories.
I'm not much a writer, but I like to remember via the written word.
And I should warn you, I tend to write a lot (so if you TL;DR me, I'll understand).
This is part of my service to you, that you may understand the effect you hold over not only over me, but over those who surround you.
In this upcoming year may you grow at least half as much from me through His Spirit as I have and will from you.
"And let us consider how to provoke one another to love and good deeds, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day approaching." (Hebrews 10:24-25 NRSV)
